Corrosion-Resistant Tank Vinyl Ester is a premium BPA-based vinyl ester resin specifically qualified for the construction of large above-ground and below-ground FRP chemical storage tanks per BS 4994, ASME RTP-1, EN 13121, and ISO 14692 standards. The resin is formulated to provide maximum chemical barrier performance in the inner corrosion barrier and structural wall of tanks holding aggressive chemicals.
The inner corrosion barrier (inner liner) uses this resin at full richness (no filler) with C-glass or synthetic veil reinforcement to create a dense, almost impermeable barrier to chemical ingress. The structural wall then uses the same resin with glass fabric layers to provide the mechanical load-bearing capacity. HDT after post-cure is 110-130°C, allowing use in tanks handling chemicals at up to 80-90°C.
The resin is supplied with full certification documentation (EN 13121 conformity declaration, chemical resistance appendix) for tank designer and end-user qualification. Suitable for storage of concentrated and dilute mineral acids, caustic solutions, solvents, electroplating chemicals, and other aggressive chemicals in chemical, pharmaceutical, and electrochemical industry facilities.

Applications
FAQ
Per BS 4994 / ASME RTP-1: The inner barrier (liner) consists of: (1) A surface-rich layer of neat resin (no reinforcement), applied first to the mold at 0.25-0.50 mm dry thickness. (2) A chemical veil of C-glass (25-30 g/m²) or synthetic fiber impregnated with resin, pressed against the wet resin layer. (3) A second layer of CSM (225-300 g/m²) in resin to complete the liner to minimum 3 mm total. Barcol hardness of the completed liner must be ≥35 before structural wall construction begins.
