Fast-Release Semi-Permanent Release Agent

In StockSample available

Key Features

  • Low-friction fluoropolymer for minimum demolding force and time
  • 12–20 releases per application for high-cycle production
  • Effective for undercut, complex, and thin-wall composite parts
  • Compatible with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy to 120°C
  • No transfer to parts — directly bondable surfaces after demolding

This fast-release semi-permanent release agent is optimized for high-speed production environments where short demolding time and minimal demolding force are critical to production throughput. The product uses a specialized low-friction fluoropolymer blend that provides the minimum possible interface adhesion between cured composite part and mold surface, enabling rapid, easy demolding in production cycles where operator cycle time is a key metric. Provides 12–20 releases per application cycle. Particularly effective for parts with slight undercuts, complex geometry, or thin cross-sections where difficult demolding can cause part damage and production delays. Compatible with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins at temperatures up to 120°C. Apply 4–5 coats on new molds, then refresh with 1 coat every 8–10 releases. The release agent does not transfer to part surfaces and parts are directly bondable. Used in high-cycle marine, automotive, and wind energy composite production lines.

FAQ

Fast-release products are formulated with fluoropolymer grades selected for the lowest achievable surface energy (higher fluorine content, optimized molecular weight) and may include low-friction additive packages. The result is a lower coefficient of friction between the release film and the cured resin, requiring less force and less mechanical effort to remove the part. On a production line, this translates to faster cycle times and fewer stuck parts.
