Automotive Composites
Lightweight composite chemicals for automotive body panels and structures
Automotive composites demand Class A surface quality, fast cycle times, and repeatability. SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) and BMC processes use specially formulated UPR with low-profile additives (LPA) to achieve the zero-shrinkage, paint-ready surface quality required by OEM specifications. HP-RTM (High Pressure RTM) with fast-cure epoxy systems is gaining ground for carbon fiber structural parts. Structural adhesives replace welding in multi-material body-in-white construction.
Common Processes
Recommended Products
