2-Part MMA Adhesive (2 min work time)

In StockSample available

Key Features

  • 2-minute work time for ultra-fast production cycles
  • Handling strength in 4–6 minutes — no clamping required beyond 5 min hold
  • Full cure in 30–60 minutes at room temperature
  • Compatible with composite, metal, and plastic substrates
  • Consistent performance down to 10°C

This ultra-fast two-component MMA structural adhesive is designed for high-throughput production bonding where cycle times of under 10 minutes from application to handling are required. At 23°C, the work time is approximately 2 minutes with fixture strength (>5 MPa) achieved in 4–6 minutes and full structural cure in 30–60 minutes. The rapid cure enables immediate next-process steps without waiting for adhesive cure. Tensile shear strength in the fully cured state exceeds 15 MPa on FRP and steel. T-peel strength ≥3 kN/m. Mix ratio 10:1, dispensed via dual cartridge system with static mixer. The fast cure rate is maintained down to 10°C, making it suitable for assembly in unheated or lightly heated production environments. Bond line gap tolerance is 0.1–3 mm. Compatible with glass, carbon, and hybrid fiber reinforced composites, steel, and aluminum without surface priming in most cases.

FAQ

With 2-minute work time, preparation and dispensing must be completed in sequence without interruption. Prepare both surfaces in advance, position fixturing equipment (clamps or hold-down tools) ready to apply, then dispense and apply the adhesive, position the parts, and apply light fixturing pressure within 90 seconds. Static mixers should be replaced between joints. For production lines, robotic dispensing with programmed path and speed ensures consistent application within the work time window.
