2-Part Epoxy Structural Adhesive (5 min cure)

In StockSample available

Key Features

  • 5-minute work time and fixture for rapid production cycles
  • Full cure in 60 min at room temperature
  • Dual cartridge + static mixer for consistent mix ratio
  • Bonds metals, FRP, ABS, and rigid plastics
  • No clamping equipment required after 5-minute hold

This fast-cure two-component epoxy structural adhesive is formulated for rapid production bonding where quick fixture and short cycle times are essential. Mixing in a 1:1 ratio by volume, it achieves handling strength within 5 minutes at 23°C and full structural cure in 60 minutes at room temperature. Tensile shear strength exceeds 15 MPa on steel and aluminum substrates. The adhesive is supplied in dual-cartridge format for dispensing with a static mixer, or in bulk for production line application. Despite the fast cure, the adhesive maintains good structural integrity and temperature resistance up to 80°C. It bonds well to metals, FRP, ABS, and rigid plastics when properly prepared. The paste consistency allows application to vertical surfaces during the brief working time. Shore D hardness of the cured adhesive is 70–78. Ideal for automotive parts assembly, electronics enclosures, FRP repair, and assembly line bonding where throughput is the primary driver.

FAQ

Yes, with tensile shear strength ≥15 MPa and Shore D 70–78, this adhesive is suitable for load-bearing structural joints. For dynamic or impact-loaded joints, consider the toughened epoxy adhesive which provides better fatigue and peel resistance. Always design the bond area to keep working stresses well below the adhesive's ultimate strength, with a safety factor of at least 4–6 for structural applications.
