Pultrusion Grade UPR
Key Features
- Low viscosity for fast fiber wet-out
- Controlled gel time at 140-160C
- High line speed compatibility
- Good Barcol hardness development
- Compatible with polyester-sized glass rovings
Pultrusion grade unsaturated polyester resin formulated for the continuous pultrusion process used to produce FRP profiles, rods, tubes, and structural shapes. Low initial viscosity (500-2000 mPa·s) allows rapid fiber wet-out in the resin bath; controlled gel time of 3-8 minutes at 140-160C enables high line speeds. Isophthalic variants offer improved fatigue resistance and chemical resistance for demanding applications.

Applications
FAQ
Typical initiator blend: TBPB (tert-butyl peroxybenzoate) 1-2 phr + TBPEHP 0.5-1 phr for controlled gel-cure profile at 140-160C. BPO paste can be added for surface cure.
